Our History

Our story begins in 1949 with Glen and Norma Eppich who settled north of Pasco in Block 1, and cleared sagebrush to farm. Ten years later they broke sagebrush out on Royal Slope, again, one of the first farmers in the area.

In the early 70's Glen, along with his two sons Lee and Lynn and son-in-law Kent Mackay, shifted their focus from farming and raising hogs and corn to handling grain, and began building their first grain facility. In 1978 Eppich Grain Inc was officially born as they built their biggest grain receiving facility in Basin City.

In 1982 Glen retired and passed the business on to the next generation. After Glen retired the business expanded to include a grain facility in Othello and added more grain bins in Basin City.

Eppich Grain quickly became a staple in the community, and remains there today.

Eppich Grain Today

Skyler Eppich, the son of Lynn, moved back to Basin City in 2012 to take over operations at Eppich Grain, as the second generation retired.

At age 8, Skyler's daughter, part of the fourth generation of Eppichs, began selling 5 gallon buckets of animal feed to local farmers and friends. This eventually became a big part of the Eppich Grain business, which now sells animal feed & premium mixes in 50 pound bags, as well as 1 ton totes.

Understanding the importance of community, Eppich Grain strives to be a staple in Basin City and the surrounding areas. Whether it's sponsoring the neighborhood sports team or donating to the local schools; we are proud to be part of such a thriving, generous community who continue to bolster and support us today.
